Cooling to within 2° or 3° of wet bulb.

1.5 to 2 gpm/square foot of media.

  1. Plugged holes in dirty supply pipe must be cleaned regularly.
  2. Pump opening must be kept free of water sediment/debris.

3 to 6 percent of re-circulated water.

Must maintain pH between 6 and 9.

Operate fan 30 minutes every day after pump is turned off to dry out the media. Prevents Mold Growth

  1. Inspect pads paying particular attention to dry spots, scale, and algae formation.
  2. At least weekly, clean and flush tank and circulating system.
  1. Do not allow bottom of pad to remain immersed in water; algae and mildew will proliferate.
  2. Odor causing fungus and bacteria may grow.
